Release Notes (1.29.0) - 3/18/2019

SmartRent Release Notes - March 18, 2019 (1.29.0)

Resident Web Update: Residents will now be able to view their access code and guest access codes when visiting the resident dashboard in a browser. This will help with lockouts if a resident lost their phone and do not have access to the app.

Brivo Building Access Codes: We added a new feature to the mobile app that allows residents at properties with Brivo controls to be able to create short-term building access codes for one-time deliveries.

For example, if a resident orders food from a food delivery service they can create a building access code and provide that in their food delivery app. This will give one time access to the building in order for the delivery service to deliver food directly to the resident unit. This feature will be released in the mobile app soon.

Max Code Attempts: There is now a notification sent to property staff and organization admins if a lock goes into lockout mode. This happens when someone incorrectly enters the wrong code three times within a five-minute period. Email alerts are enabled by default.

Push Notification Work Order Created: We will send residents a push notification when a work order is manually created in the SmartRent system. This will help keep residents informed on work orders that staff members have requested.

Good Morning Updates: The daily text sent to maintenance members regarding their assigned and unassigned work orders will now include the property name. This will simplify the messaging for staff who work across multiple properties.

Service Ticket UI: Similar to the Good Morning Update above, we now include the property name to the service ticket user interface.

Resident Welcome SMS: Newly moved-in residents will receive the following SMS messages:

  • “Hi {name}. Your property has partnered with SmartRent to provide keyless entry for your unit. Your unit is now connected!”

  • “Here is your lock access code: {XXXX}. Learn how to use your lock: smartrent.com/hc/smart-lock”

Resending Resident Code SMS: When a user requests to resend the resident code from Control Room, the resident will now receive the following SMS:

  • “Here is your lock access code: {XXXX}. Learn how to use your lock: smartrent.com/hc/smart-lock”
