Video Background

Learn how to display a youtube video as a background with text and button elements centered on a section of a page

Updated over 5 years ago

Step 1 - Add the "Video Background" section block to the page

On the page you're working on, click "Add section" then add "Video Background"

Note: The Video Background section block may not be available in some themes

Step 2 - Upload a preview image for mobile devices

Step 3 - Enter the Video ID

At the moment, only youtube videos are supported

  • On the youtube video you want to add, click the "Share" button. Copy the video id as seen below, then paste it on the video id field.

  • Adjust the transparency of the video background, increasing the transparency will make the background darker

Step 4 - Add a Title & Description

  • Add a section title

  • Add a description about the section

Step 5 - Add a Button (optional)

  • Enter a button label (keep it blank to hide the button)

  • Paste in the URL you want people to see when they click the button

Step 6 - Don't forget to save your work!
