After connecting your Square account, you can sync your menu items to Square and vice versa.
Click "Store" from the main dashboard, then select "Ecommerce Settings" from the sidebar.
Click the "Payments" tab
Click "Enable Syncing" below the Square logo
Select one of the options for syncing, then allow permissions.
Pull - menu items added through Square get pushed to Sociavore's Square Mapping.
Push - menu items in Sociavore are added to Square. Changes in Sociavore get pushed to Square, but changes from Square do not get pushed to Sociavore.
Pull & Push - this is a 2-way sync. Menu changes in Sociavore get pushed to Square, and menu changes in Square get pushed to Sociavore's Square Mapping.
Pull Syncing
After selecting Pull Syncing from the previous step, you need to do the following to ensure that the items from Square are added to your Sociavore menu:
Click "Store" from the main dashboard, then select "Ecommerce Settings" from the sidebar.
Click "Square Mapping"
Select the items you want to add to the menu
Click the "Import To" dropdown
Select the menu where you want to add the item
It will copy the following information:
Item Name
Category
Description
Location
Price
Modifier
Tax
If you edit the Square items, it will automatically reflect in Square Mapping. However, if you import it to a Sociavore menu, it will not override the existing menu item. Instead, it will create a new Sociavore menu item.
Push Syncing
If you selected Push Syncing from the previous step, you need to do the following to ensure that your Sociavore menu items are added to Square:
Click "Menu"
Open the menu for editing
Click the Square icon on the upper right to push to Square. Once the logo turns black, the menu items will sync with Square.
It will copy over the following information:
Item Name
Category
Description
Location
Price
Modifier
Tax
If you make changes in the Sociavore menu already synced with Square, the changes will automatically reflect in Square.
Pull & Push Syncing
The third option allows you to do both types of syncing mentioned above.
