β Requirements
To create a custom audience based on a video, you will need the following requirements:
Permissions: You need to have the necessary permissions to create a custom audience. This includes having access to the video you want to use and any data associated with it.
Video Source: You will need a Meta source video that you want to use to create the custom audience. The video can be uploaded to Meta or it can be an external video that you share on Meta.
Pixel Tracking Code: You will need to have a pixel tracking code installed on your website. This code helps track the actions of users who have visited your website, including those who have interacted with your video.
Audience Specification: You will need to specify the audience you want to create. This includes selecting the demographic, geographic, and other targeting parameters for your audience.
Once you have all these requirements in place, you can create your custom audience based on the Meta source video.
Follow the steps below π
Connect to your Meta Business manager
Go to the βAudiencesβ area and select βCreate Audienceβ, then choose βCustom Audienceβ
When the pop-up window opens, you can select βVideoβ and then "Next".
π Learn about the other data sourcesYou can then select the type of engagement and the video for which you want to get an audience.
Choose the number of retention days and name your custom audience, then click on "Create audience".
π Now that this is done, you have the option to create a Lookalike audience, an ad, or another Custom audience. In order to profile this audience in the platform, we strongly recommend that you create a Lookalike audience based on the Custom you just created. If you want to remain as faithful as possible to this first audience you can configure your Lookalike to 1% of the population (why do you need to proceed a Lookalike audience of 1%).
