You can access and manage rubrics directly in the Activity Builder. Here's how:

Step 1: Open or Create an Activity

Open one of your activities or create a new one:

  1. Go to the Activity Builder (Or an existing Activity):

  2. Add a new page and choose Open Response (Spoken or Written) as the page type.

Step 2: Use the Auto-Grading Tab

Once you're on the Open Response Page look for the AI Features tab below of your prompt area.

You’ll see a section called Automatic Grading where you can choose a rubric. If a rubric is already applied, it will appear there. If not, you can select one from your library or create a new one.

Step 3: Applying the Rubric

Once you select a rubric, you'll have different options:

  • Copy and Edit: You can build your own rubric based on one of the templates you picked.

  • Use this Rubric: You can use it with the current "card," all the cards within the activity, or set it as your default Rubric.

  • Share the rubric if you'd like

Tips:

  • You can create and save rubrics for different types of assignments (writing, speaking, cultural comparisons, etc.).

  • Rubrics are reusable across assignments, so you only need to build them once.

  • You can use AI to create a rubric (especially helpful for ACTFL or WIDA standards!)
