NHL Player Survivor on Splash Sports — Overview

What NHL Player Survivor is on Splash Sports, how the format works, and who it's for.

Updated yesterday

NHL Player Survivor is Splash Sports' real-money NHL contest format. It's a fast-paced, elimination-style game where you pick NHL players to record points — and survive as long as possible.

How It Works

Each slate, you select one primary NHL player and one alternate from different teams. If your primary player records a point (goal or assist) during their game, your entry advances to the next slate. If they don't, your entry is eliminated.

Your alternate is used as a backup if your primary player's game is postponed, cancelled, or if the player doesn't dress for the game. If neither player's game is valid, the slate is typically voided for your entry.

Format Details

  • Pick requirement: 1 primary + 1 alternate per slate, from different teams

  • Scoring threshold: Your primary player must record at least 1 point (goal or assist) in regulation or overtime to advance

  • Team reuse: Depending on contest settings, you may be restricted from picking the same player more than once

  • Missed picks: Failing to submit picks before the deadline results in elimination

  • Payout: Winner-takes-all. If all remaining entries are eliminated in the same slate, the prize is split equally.

Splash-Managed — What That Means

NHL Player Survivor on Splash Sports is a real-money, Splash-managed contest. Splash collects entry fees, processes payments securely, and distributes prizes automatically to winners. You do not need to coordinate payments externally.

To participate in real-money contests, your account must be verified (KYC) and you must be located in an eligible state at the time of entry. See state availability.
