Setting up your NFL + NCAAF Team Survivor contest: Lives & Revivals tab

The Lives & Revivals tab sets lives, tie handling, and revival behavior.

Lives

How ties are handled and how many lives an entry gets before elimination.

  • Tie game outcome — How a tie game is scored for the picked team. Cancelled games are treated the same way — if a picked team's game is cancelled with no makeup inside the slate window, this setting decides whether the pick counts as a win or a loss. Defaults to "Loss."

  • Entry lives (a.k.a. mulligans) — How many losses before elimination. 1 = instant elimination on first loss. Defaults to 1.

  • Stop issuing lives after slate — Cutoff after which no more lives/mulligans are granted, useful for restricting mulligans to early-season slates. Defaults to "None (no cutoff)."

Contest revivals

  • Contest revivals — Off by default. Auto-revive all entrants if every remaining entry is eliminated in the same slate. Prevents the contest dying mid-slate; revived entries keep their pick history with no extra lives.
