What is a SPRK ID?
The SPRK ID includes a unique QR code that allows kids 13+ using Spriggy’s SPRK mode to send and receive money to friends who also use Spriggy SPRK.
When a teen gets started with Spriggy SPRK, a customisable SPRK ID will be issued.
Adding a friend who is using Spriggy’s SPRK mode
To send or receive money from another SPRK friend, scan their SPRK ID QR code from within the SPRK app. Using the mobile phone camera to scan the SPRK ID will not work.
To scan the QR code in the SPRK app:
Log into Spriggy SPRK.
Tap ‘Pay Someone’.
Tap ‘Find Friends’ and then ‘Add a friend’.
Tap the QR code image located next to ‘Search SPRK ID or mobile no.’.
Scan your friend's QR code.
Tap ‘Pay Friend’.
Enter the transfer amount.
Add a ‘Description’ eg: Thanks for lunch!
Review the transfer and tap ‘Confirm’.
Please note, there is a $100 transfer amount limit to any one person, a $250 send limit and a $250 receive limit, per 24 hours.
Adding a SPRK friend if you are a Spriggy member but have not activated SPRK mode
To add a SPRK friend, first a parent or guardian (if they are 18+ years of age) will need to create a Spriggy membership. If the parent or guardian is interested in how they can get started, see this guide.
Once the Spriggy membership is created, the primary parent can activate SPRK mode from within the app. Kids must be 13+ to be eligible for the SPRK features.
