Unfortunately, Spriggy cards cannot be used on Opal, even if the Spriggy card has been added to your child’s digital wallet. This is because the NSW public transport system does not accept prepaid cards as a form of Contactless Payment.

Additionally, using a Child/Concession Opal card is the only way to receive the benefit of concession fares. Using a debit card as part of the contactless payment system would result in your child paying adult fare charges.

However, Spriggy cards can be used to top-up an Opal card in-store at an Opal retailer.
