How Travelers can update their credit card information

This article describes how travelers can change the credit card on file for payments and update their billing information in their account.

Intended Audience: For Travelers who want to change their credit card information or Trip Organizers who want to help their Travelers.

Article Summary: Travelers can update their billing information in two places within their account. The first is when they're making a payment or by clicking "Change/Update your card information" under the payment schedule. Below are detailed steps on how to change the information.

How do I change my credit card information?

Travelers can change their credit card information on two places in their profile:

  1. Trip details page - "Change/Update your card information" button

  2. When making any payment – Change Card button

"Change/Update your card information" Button

Below payments table, there's a "Change/Update your card information" button. Travelers should click this button if they want to:

  • Change Credit Card information

  • Change Billing information

Example Explained: Changing credit card information using "Change/Update your card information" button

In the example below, the traveler wants to change card information without making any payment – using "Change/Update your card information" button

1. ​Click on the button "Change/Update your card information"

2. New pop up will be shown with the template for card and billing information

3. After we insert all the valid information, press “Update Card” button

4. After the data is saved, we see the change of the last 4 digits in our Payments screen

Important notice: After card information is changed all further payments will be made to the new credit card information.

"Change card" Button

If a traveler wants to make a payment out of scheduled auto pricing or to buy add-on, there will be an option to change credit card information during the payment process.

Payments during which we have this option:

  • Make New Payment

  • Pay Now

  • Retry Payment

  • Purchase Add-ons

Example Explained: Changing credit card information during the payment process

In the example below, the traveler wants to change card information during payment process – using "Change Card" button in the Pay Now option.

  1. Click on the Pay Now button

  2. New pop up will be opened

  3. Select the option “Change Card”

  4. When we select this option new pop-up will show up with the template for card and billing information

  5. After we insert all the valid information, press “Update Card” button

  6. Due to updating reasons we are returned to payment plan screen

  7. When we open Pay Now option we can see that the card number has been updated and we can proceed with payment
