Marking a Case Service as Secured

When a Case Service is marked as Secured, only Workers assigned to the Service File will be able to view it on the Case page, unless the Worker has been granted the ability to see Secured Services via their Security Class.


How to mark a Case Service as Secured

  1. Log into Penelope using a Super User account.

  2. From the Setup sidebar, select Services List.

  3. On the Service List page in the Case Services section, select the Case Service you would like to secure.

  4. On the Case Service page, select Make Secure.

  5. Select Okay to confirm.

Please note – As of version 4.22.1.0, the Case Service ‘Make Secure’ confirmation message has been updated to accurately reflect current functionality. The image above is only an example of the confirmation message and the actual message may vary.


How to mark a Case Service as Unsecured

  1. Log in to Penelope using a Super User account.

  2. From the Setup sidebar select Services List.

  3. On the Service List page in the Case Services section, select the Case Service you would like to mark as unsecured.

  4. On the Case Service page, select Make Not Secure.

  5. Select Okay to confirm.

Security Classes

To use the secured Case Services feature in Penelope, the following Security Class rules have been created. These will need to be enabled and/or disabled depending on the Security Class and access required.

  • Restrict Service File display to assigned Workers (Penelope v4.15.1.0+ August 2019)

  • Allow display of secured Case Service (Penelope v4.15.1.0+ August 2019)

  • Restrict Service File display of secured Service Files to assigned Workers (Penelope v4.15.1.0+ August 2019)

  • Allow a Worker to mark a Case Service as secured (Penelope v4.15.1.0+ August 2019)
