THE BASICS

The Credit Card Integration Module is an optional module within Penelope that integrates with Payflow/PayPal, Worldpay, SecurePay and Barclaycard. This module provides integration with their payment pages and refund features.

You can process any client-funded payments in Penelope using the Credit Card Integration Module (please note that you cannot process a Funder payment using this module).

In this tutorial, we’ll process a credit card payment from a Service Event using Quick Pay. Note that you can initiate a credit card transaction from other client-based Payment screens; for example, the Account Balance page.

Process a Credit Card Payment in Penelope with Payflow/PayPal

STEP 1

Launch the Payment screen from the desired location. In this example we’ll click Quick Pay from the Service Event page.

STEP 2

Complete the necessary fields in the Payment screen.

STEP 3

In the Process Payment section click By Credit Card.

STEP 4 Click Save.

STEP 5

Enter the client’s credit card details.

STEP 6

Click the yellow Pay Invoice button.

STEP 7

A payment confirmation page will appear. Click Return to Penelope. The client’s account will be updated accordingly.

Note: To return to the previous screen to make changes to the payment amount or to cancel the transaction, click Cancel.

STEP 8

To print a copy of the receipt, follow the instructions on the screen. A copy of the Penelope invoice will be generated detailing that the payment was processed through the Credit Card Interface.
