The Search Page allows you to easily find the information you are looking for in Penelope. To do a search:

  1. Click the Search button at the top of the page.

  2. Select the type of search and enter any criteria.

  3. Click Go.


Types of Searches

The following types of searches are available in Penelope:

Individual

Case

Service

Funder: General, Department

Worker

Event: Case, Informal, Indirect

Policy

Billing: Invoice, Credit, Debit, Batch, Deposit, EDI, EOB

Individual

The Individual search allows you to search for any Individual (client) who has been added to Penelope. It is a good idea to do an Individual Search prior to adding someone via the Intake Wizard or Add Individual functions. This helps avoids unnecessary duplicates.

Case and Service

The Case and Service search allows you to search for any open, closed or pending Service Files in Penelope. You can narrow down your search results by using one or more filters in the Search Criteria section.

Funder and Worker

The Funder search and Worker search allow you to search for any Funders and Workers who have been added to Penelope. Using the Search Criteria can greatly help find the results you want.

Event

The Event search allows you to search for any Service Events, Informal Events and Indirect Events in Penelope.

Policy

The Policy search allows you to search for active and inactive Policies in Penelope.

Billing

The Billing search allows you to search for Invoices, Credits, Debits, Batches, Deposits, EDI, EOB transactions in your database.


Search Results

From the Results section you can click on a specific records such as the ID column, Individual Name, Case Name or Service File to take you directly to the required record in Penelope.


Tips for Effective Searching

  • When searching for a Name in Penelope use only the first 4-6 letters of the first OR last name. Do not search for both first and last names together.

  • Use one or more search criteria to help narrow or widen your search results.

  • Select from a list whenever one appears.

  • Type in an ID if available to you. This can be a Case file ID, Service File ID or an Event ID.
