Troubleshooting: "Unidentified client total" DSS error
Troubleshooting: "Unidentified client total" DSS error
Updated over a week ago

What's happening:

The DSS error "Unidentified client total must be less than or equal to unidentified client total recorded against case." is appearing either on the Event/Session level DSS tab or in your DSS errors list.

Possible solution:

Since it is possible to manually raise the unidentified count on a DSS Session, the unidentified client count on the Session may have been set higher than the count on the Case.

> Navigate to the DSS tab on the Event/Session and check and see what is listed in the "Non-identified Attendees" field

> Navigate to the DSS tab on the Group page and check and see what is listed in the Total Count field, specifically what is listed in the brackets

> If you do not see any brackets and just see a number next to Total Count, then that would indicate that no unidentified clients have been set for this Group

> If you see the brackets but the number listed here is lower than the number listed in the "Non-identified Attendees" field on the Event, then you will need to set that number higher

> Select Edit to the top right of the screen while on the DSS tab for the Group and set the appropriate number in the "Non-identified Count" counter and Save
