The Investor Updates feature simplifies engagement with your investors. Companies often use Updates to share monthly or quarterly investor updates, key strategy or milestone updates & more. You can use this tool to create and send updates to stakeholders whether or not they are users of Standard Metrics.

How do I send an Investor Update?

  1. Click on the Updates tab in the left-side navigation panel.

  2. Click on the Add investor update button.

  3. Name the update.

  4. Add different elements to your update and customize it.

  5. Click Manage located next to Recipients to add recipients.

  6. Toggle the Require an account to view option 'on' or 'off.'

    1. If toggled 'on', recipients will receive an email with a link to view the update. They will be prompted to sign into Standard Metrics to view the update, at no cost to them.

    2. If toggled 'off', your update will be embedded in an email. This only embeds the update in an email as plan text, and will not be interactive. (Charts, files, images, and videos are not able to be viewed in an update that is embedded in an email.)

  7. Click Preview to make sure you like the way the update looks.

  8. When you are ready to send the update, click Publish.

  9. After publishing an update, you can see who has viewed your update by hovering over the names under the Recipients list.

Note: If you have previously published an update, you can also select "Duplicate Update" on a past update to start with the same template.

Note: After submitting an Investor Report, you have the option to turn it into a draft investor update. You can build on this draft before sharing it with your other investors. To do this, click “Share with other investors” on the Report Completed screen, or click “Share” from the Investor Reports tab.
