The Investor Updates feature simplifies engagement with your investors. We see companies create updates to share monthly or quarterly investor updates, key strategy or milestone updates, and more. You can use this tool to create and send updates to stakeholders whether or not they are users of Standard Metrics.

How do I send an Investor Update?

  1. Login here.

  2. Click on the Updates tab in the left-side navigation panel.

    1. If you have a completed report from the Investor Reports tab, you can select "Share" to share your report with other investors, whether they are on or off the platform, as an Investor Update. If you are not ready to share right now, you can visit the Updates page later to edit and share this draft.

  3. Click on the Add investor update button.

    1. If you have previously published an update, you can also select "Duplicate Update" on a past update to start with the same template.

  4. Name the update.

  5. Add different elements to your update and customize it.

  6. Click Manage located next to Recipients to add recipients.

  7. Toggle the Require an account to view option 'on' or 'off.'

    1. If toggled 'on', recipients will receive an email with a link to view the update. They will be prompted to sign into Standard Metrics to view the update, at no cost to them.

    2. If toggled 'off', your update will be embedded in an email. Recipients will not need a Standard Metrics account to view your Update. This only embeds update in email as text, and will not be interactive. (Charts, files, images, and videos are not able to be viewed in an update that is embedded in an email.)

  8. Click Send a test email to send the update to your email for preview.

  9. When you are ready to send the update, click Publish.

  10. After publishing an update, you can see who has viewed your update by hovering over the names under the Recipients list.
