Edit and assign your AI-generated product page

Finish the installed page in Shopify, assign the correct template, and verify what customers see.

Your AI page is saved as a product template in the theme you chose. Finish editing it, then assign it to your product. AI installation does not assign products automatically.

1. Edit and save

  1. Click Open in theme editor on Sternify’s installation-success screen.

  2. Review the sections: replace example media, verify claims and FAQs, and use genuine testimonials.

  3. Check desktop and mobile, then click Save.

An installed Sternify AI product template open in Shopify’s theme editor, with sections on the left and the product preview on the right.

The installed page in Shopify’s theme editor. Screenshots use our demo store; your product and template name will differ.

To return later, open Online Store → Themes → Edit theme and find the template under Products in the page selector.

2. Find the template name

Note the exact name shown in the editor. You will choose that name on the product.

The theme editor sidebar shows template st-ai-sternify-strips-bundle-228939, Assigned to 0 products, and Sternify Strips Bundle selected for preview.

This example template is still “Assigned to 0 products.”

Previewing is not assigning. Choosing a product in the editor only changes the preview.

3. Assign it to your product

  1. In Shopify admin, open Products and choose the product.

  2. Find Theme template and select the exact template name.

  3. Click Save on the product.

Shopify’s Theme template dropdown on the product settings page, currently set to Default product.

Change this dropdown on the product—not the preview selector in the theme editor.

Check the result: open the normal storefront product page. Confirm the product is available on the Online Store sales channel.

Template missing or the old page showing?

Use the missing-template guide if the template exists only in a draft. If it is available, confirm you saved the selection on the correct product and edited the published theme.

Before you reuse the page

Products sharing a template share its layout settings. Use separate templates for independent content. Before replacing an edited page, read what reinstallation changes.

Still stuck? Send support the product URL, theme and template names, and a screenshot of the saved Theme template field.
