Translate Sternify content on your storefront

Find the source of customer-facing text and use the right editing or translation workflow.

Written by Alex

Find where the text is stored before translating it. Section settings, Shopify product information, and app-managed content can use different workflows.

Change the original wording

Text typed into a section: open the correct theme and template, select the section or block, edit the field, and save.

Text from a product: edit that product’s information in Shopify.

Text configured in Sternify: return to that feature’s text or translation settings.

Add another storefront language

  1. For supported content, open Apps → Translate & Adapt.

  2. Choose the target language and the relevant resource.

  3. Enter the translation and save.

Translate & Adapt does not expose every type of app-managed content. Check Shopify’s compatibility guide when a field is missing.

Check the result in context

  1. Open the affected page in the intended storefront language.

  2. Check headings, buttons, FAQs, and text inside images separately.

  3. Check mobile wrapping and test the links.

Translating a text field does not change words embedded in an image. For fields containing HTML or Liquid, preserve the markup and translate the visible wording. See Shopify’s theme translation guide.

Can’t find a sentence?

Locate it in the original section or feature first. Note whether it is typed into a field, drawn from a product, or part of an image. Send support the exact text, page URL, language, screenshot, and translation app if you still cannot find the right field.
