Why will I receive a strike if I cancel with less than 24 hours notice?
Why will I receive a strike if I cancel with less than 24 hours notice?
Updated over a week ago

We know that circumstances can sometimes change unexpectedly. That’s why we have an appeals process that takes emergencies into account!

However, when it’s not an emergency, cancelling with less than 24 hours notice has significant knock-on effects.

Here's why we enforce the policy:

It's hard to find a suitable replacement:
With such short notice, it’s really hard to guarantee a top-quality Stinter to replace you. We’re a small team, and there are hundreds of daily Stints to oversee. The challenge of finding last-minute substitutes is a real one!

It causes a rushed experience for another Stinter:
Last-minute cancellations also put pressure on the Stinter replacing you. They might be less prepared, have a stressful experience, and consequently perform below standard on the Stint.

It impacts the business' trust:
Businesses rely on us for consistent, reliable Stinters who act like part of their team! Cancellations disrupt their daily operations and impact their trust in the Stint platform.

Stint was designed to offer flexible opportunities to find work. When Stints are accepted, we expect Stinters to commit to them, which we think is fair!

To keep the platform running smoothly, and to encourage positive relationships between Stint and our business Partners, we simply ask that you follow our cancellation policy. As always, we really appreciate your commitment.

Check out our policy below:
