Learn how to set up Advanced Checkout to capture more leads and sell Products.

Advanced Checkout is a mobile‑optimised booking flow that helps you capture more leads, convert more bookings, and increase revenue per order.

Inspired by the world’s best e-commerce checkouts, It breaks checkout into clear steps and adds powerful upselling features while keeping the experience seamless and on brand.


How to set up Advanced Checkout

  1. Visit the Checkout page and select Advanced Checkout as your Checkout type.

  2. Configure the Products section to control how the Products step appears.

  3. Once you're ready, click Save changes.

💡 Good to know:

  • Advanced Checkout is turned on globally, not per site

  • If no Products are created or set to visible, the Products step of your Checkout will not appear.


How to add Products to Advanced Checkout

  1. Open your site in Stora and follow the steps to create Products.

  2. Open the Product you want to sell online.

  3. Toggle availability on for each Unit Type you want to sell the Product with.

  4. Use Select All if the Product should be available for all Unit Types.

💡 When you add new Unit Types, revisit each product and toggle availability for the new types.


Advanced Checkout from a customer's experience

When using Advanced Checkout, each stage appears as its own step for a clearer, easier journey. A cost summary is shown on the right and updates automatically when products are added or removed, or when the cover level changes.

Add contact details

Customers enter their personal contact details.

💡 Any additional form fields you have enabled within the Checkout settings here will also be displayed in this section. For example, customer address.

Move in date

Customers select their move‑in date.

Contents insurance

Customers choose their protection cover level.

💡 This will only show if you sell protection

Add extras

Customers add product extras to their subscription and can increase quantities, for example, multiple padlocks and storage boxes.

Payment method

Customers enter their payment details and confirm their booking.
