Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article explains how to change, remove or add insurance on an existing subscription. Use it when a customer updates their cover level or provides their own insurance.

How to change, remove or add insurance

  1. Find the customer you want to update and open their Subscription.

  2. In the Pricing section, click Edit insurance/Protection.

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • To remove insurance, select Customer has own cover.

    • To change insurance, select the new insurance level you want to apply.

  4. Select the appropriate option from the drop‑down menu.

💡 If the subscription has already started, you can start the change immediately, from the next renewal, or backdate it.

You can then preview the changes before confirming. When you are happy, click Change insurance.

Create a unique insurance price

You can set a unique insurance price for a specific situation, for example, when a customer needs a custom cover level.

Go back into the insurance level straight away and change the price to what it should be for new bookings.

Insurance on subscriptions with multiple units

If a subscription includes multiple units, you can edit the insurance so the cover level is appropriate for all the unit types and the total value stored.

You can also create a specific price for that subscription if needed by following the steps in Create a unique insurance price above.
