Carrying Out a Viewing using the Street Agent App

Once a viewing has been booked in you can use the Street Agent App to assist with the viewing

Booking a Viewing from the App

As well as attending viewings, you can now book a viewing directly from the Street Agent App. Choose the property, the applicant, the calendar you're booking into and the time slot, and add a note if needed. The viewing will appear in Street straight away, just as if it had been booked from the main platform.

Note - You'll only be able to book into calendars you have permission to book appointments in.

Checking out Keys

The first thing you may want to do when leaving for a viewing is to check the keys out of the office (if you have them). This can be done via Street in the Property Keys section however it can also be done directly from the agent app.

For more information on checking keys out, see this help article.

Whether you have keys for the property or not, the next step is to go to the viewing in the app.

Viewing Details

By clicking on the viewing appointment from the Calendar page, you'll see a breakdown of further details including the owner contact information and any property notes.

The viewing can be cancelled or rearranged from here by clicking the three dots at the top right and you can click on the applicant / owner section to quickly access the contact book to see their details and call/text/email them if needed.

When rearranging an appointment from the agent app you can instantly confirm the new time with all parties, saving follow-up admin and keeping everyone in the loop.

Confirming the Viewing

You can confirm the viewing from the app, ticking off the agent, the applicant and the occupant separately as each one confirms. This updates the viewing's confirmation status in Street. For more information, see our Confirming a Viewing help article.

Sending your ETA

If you're on your way to a viewing, you can send the applicant or the owner a text message letting them know when you'll arrive. You can edit the message before sending it, and a record of the text is logged in Street.

When ready to proceed, click the 'go to viewing' button to access the full viewing page.

Viewing Briefing

If your account uses Street's AI briefings, the app can give you a short briefing before the viewing, summarising the key information about the property and the applicant so you're prepared before you arrive.

The briefing may take a few moments to generate the first time you open it. If there isn't enough information to create one, the briefing will show as unavailable.

Note - Viewing briefings are only available on accounts with AI briefings enabled, and you'll need the latest version of the Street Agent App.

Viewing Page

The viewing page is broken down into different tabs so you can quickly see the information you need for the viewing.

You can also quickly navigate to the viewing by clicking the 'navigate' button which will give you a choice of your travel apps to select from such as Google/Apple maps and Uber.

Appointment Tab

From the appointment tab of the viewing page you can see the key property details such as listing price, bedrooms and bathrooms, applicant's past viewings at the property, applicant details and property location.

Property Tab

The property tab shows any viewing guidance saved on the property, PIQ responses from the owner (if you use the Street PIQ) and listing details.

FAQ's tab

The FAQ's tab will show any FAQ's that have been saved on the property in Street. Additionally you can add an FAQ here that will send the owner a notification asking them to answer - if the owner is available, you may even get an answer there and then on the viewing!

Notes tab

The notes tab will show any notes saved against the property or the viewing in Street. If you are looking to record notes from the viewing, you should use the 'viewing notes' section which, once saved, will immediately feed into your Street system to review post viewing.

Referrals Tab

From the referrals tab you can create a referral to a partner via the Partner Platform. For more information, see our Creating a Referral from the Street Agent app help article and for more information on the Partner Platform see our help centre collection here.

Starting the Viewing

When you're ready to, click the 'start' button to begin the viewing. Once the viewing has started you'll gain access to the SOS button which you can use should you need to alert your colleagues. See our SOS feature help article for more information.

The viewing can remain in this state until you're finished, at which point you can click 'end viewing'.

After the Viewing

Once the viewing has ended, the first step you will see is the Feedback page. Here you can record how the viewing went.

By default, your feedback is shared with the owner as a quick update on how the viewing went. If you'd rather keep it internal, choose the 'just save in Street' option and the feedback will be saved on the viewing without being sent to the owner.

Your feedback won't count as applicant feedback and will keep the viewing in the status of 'awaiting feedback', so the applicant can still be asked for their own feedback.

However you have the option of marking the feedback as final if you wish, which will update the viewing status to 'feedback completed'. This option can be used if the applicant has expressed no interest and will not be pursuing, in which case you wouldn't want to email them asking for further feedback.

Making an Offer

After submitting the feedback, the next step is to choose if the applicant wants to make an offer. For sales viewings, you can create the offer directly from the app by entering the offer amount, the applicant's buying and financial position, and any notes. If not, the viewing is complete and you can head back to the office to track the applicant feedback (if applicable).

Submitting a Note of Interest (Scotland)

If your agency is in Scotland, you can also submit a Note of Interest from the app on a sales viewing. To do this, the applicant must have a solicitor saved on their record and the property must have an owner.

Other Actions After a Viewing

Once a viewing has finished, you can also take the following actions from the viewing in the app:

  • Mark as a no show - if the applicant didn't turn up. This is only available once the viewing time has passed.

  • Feedback summary - see an AI-generated summary of all the viewing feedback on the property so far, which is handy for updating the owner.

  • Send a feedback reminder - send the applicant a reminder to leave their viewing feedback. This is only available on completed viewings, and only if the automated viewing feedback request is switched on in your notification settings.

  • Request a review - send the applicant a request to leave a review of your agency. This is only available on completed viewings, and your branch will need a review link set up.
