The Partner Platform is a central hub for businesses that estate agents work with (i.e. partners) to interact with and manage Street-related clients and facilitate referrals.

From within your Street account, you can refer a client to your partner and track the progress of that referral.

Note - Currently only mortgage brokers are supported by the Partner Platform, so this help article focuses specifically on mortgage referrals.

Mortgage Referral Opportunity

You will see the Mortgage Referral Opportunity section in a variety of areas within Street.

  • From a person page

  • Creating a sales applicant

  • From a sales applicant page

  • Creating a viewing

  • Creating a valuation and selecting the 'are you looking for another property' option

  • Creating a sales offer

  • Accepting a sales offer

The section gives you a few different options depending on how the referral was handled in that moment.

Creating a Referral

Clicking the blue 'create referral' button will begin the referral process. You will need to first select what type of mortgage the client needs and then select which of your mortgage brokers you want to refer to.

Finally, you should select the referring agent and what information you wish to share with the mortgage broker. You must tick the 'consent' box to proceed with the referral.

It's important to select the correct referring agent as this will determine who receives commission for that referral (if you have this enabled in your commission settings) as well as reporting.

Note - The referral will only be sent to the mortgage broker when you complete the page you are on. For example, you need to actually create the sales applicant or mark the sales offer as accepted for the referral to send.

Once the referral has been sent, it will appear in the mortgage broker's Partner Platform and they can begin working through the process of contacting the client and updating the progress.

For more information on how partners use the Partner Platform, see this help article.

And for more information on how you track the progress of referrals in Street, see our Referrals Reporting help article.

Saving the Referral as an Opportunity

In some cases you may not be able to create a referral, so you can make a note of what happened instead.

Within the 'not discussed' section, if you choose either the 'not raised during discussion' the 'other' options, or choose any option from within the 'future opportunity' sections, the client will be added to your Opportunities table so you can follow up with them in future.

Refused Referral

If your client refuses a referral, you can use the 'refused referral' section to enter their reasoning. This will then show on any future referral opportunities, highlighting that it was refused and why.
