Client Payments

The Client Payments feature in Street allows you to setup chargeable services within Street and request payment from your clients who can pay via their Street account.

Initial Setup

In order to use the Client Payments feature, you must have the Stripe Integration setup and have payment services setup in your Client Payments (Settings).

Once the integration and chargeable services are setup in your settings you can begin charging clients through Street.

Requesting a Payment

The first step is to request the payment. Depending on who you are requesting payment from you can find the Client Payments card on the sales applicant, sales offers, sales progression, owner and property pages.

Note - If requesting a payment for a charge per person, it's important to note that there will be a single charge for the total (the amount x the number of people). It's not possible for each person to pay their share individually.

For more information, see our Requesting a Payment help article.

Client Making a Payment

Once a request has been made, clients can log in to their Street account, either via the Consumer App or the Consumer Desktop account, to process the payment. The client will be taken to Stripe and asked to enter their bank details for payment.

For more information, see our Client Making Payments help article

Client Payment Processed

Once a client has processed a payment, you will receive a notification in Street as well as an email to your branch email address.

The Client Payments card will update to 'paid' and a receipt will be generated that you can download.

The 'view receipt' button will take you to the receipt for payment should you need to access or share with your client. It's worth noting your client will automatically receive this when they make payment as well.

Payment to your Agency

Payments made by clients are not released by Stripe immediately. Your agency will receive a monthly payment from Stripe for all client payments in that month as well as an email to the email address on the Stripe account which you can click into to view a breakdown of the payout.

Managing and Tracking Payment Requests

Once a payment has been requested you can track the progress and manage it from the same Client Payments card you used to request the payment by either sending a reminder or cancelling the request.

Sending a reminder will re-send the initial email to the client and cancelling will send a new email advising the request has been cancelled.

Additionally you can use the Reporting > Payments Overview report to track all payments across all clients.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
