How to setup inspections settings for a branch in Street

Inspections

Street uses a 'due date' system for inspections whereby a due date is set to remind you of any upcoming inspections. Setting a due date will generate an inspection with that due date on the tenancy.

An inspection due date can be set when progressing a lettings application or when completing an existing inspection. You can also manually create an inspection from the tenancy page at any time.

Inspections Settings

Within your branch settings you have the option of enabling inspections for a branch, as well as some additional settings specifically relating to inspections in Street.

To get started, head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Branch Settings > Inspections.

Note - You will need to be a Branch or Company Admin to access the inspection settings.

Firstly you can choose to enable or disable inspections for the branch. This is useful if you manage your inspections externally to Street or are a multi branch network where the Sales branch can have inspections disabled while a Lettings branch can have them enabled.

You can also set how long after the tenancy start date the first inspection should be. This value will be used as the default when progressing a lettings application or when creating a tenancy from the property page, which will automatically generate an inspection with that due date. However it's important to note that this can always be edited if needed.

You also have the option of marking individual tenancies as not requiring inspections when creating the tenancy details.

Finally, you can set the default duration of inspection appointments, however this can always be manually changed when booking an inspection.
