Quick Setup
Step 1: Go to Wallet Pass Settings
Go to Subscribfy → Wallet Pass → Setup tab.
Step 2: Design Your Pass
Customize how your pass looks:
Apple Logo | Your logo displayed on the pass (PNG format) |
Banner Image | Banner shown at the top of the pass |
Push Icon | Icon shown in push notifications |
Store Name | Your store name on the pass |
Theme Color | Background color of the pass |
Text Color | Main text color |
Step 3: Configure Pass Content
Balance Type | Choose Store Credit or other balance to display |
Membership Label | Label for the membership section |
Step 4: Customize Email
Design the email customers receive with their wallet pass link:
Subject | Email subject line |
Headline | Main headline in email |
Button Text | Text on "Add to Wallet" button |
Button Colors | Background and text color of button |
Step 5: Save and Enable
Click Save to activate your wallet pass.
What Customers See
On their wallet pass, customers see:
Store credit balance - Current available credits
Membership status - Active, paused, etc.
VIP tier - Their current tier level
QR code - For in-store identification
Quick links - To your store and account
Getting the Pass
Customer receives email with wallet pass link
Clicks "Add to Wallet" on their phone
Pass is added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
Balance and status update automatically
Push Notifications
Send notifications directly to customers' phones through their wallet pass.
Push Campaigns
Go to Push Notifications tab → Add Notification
Message | Notification text customers will see |
Pass Holders | All, specific tier, or minimum balance filter |

Geo Notifications
Send notifications when customers are near certain locations.
Go to Push Notifications tab → Add Location
Message | Notification text (max 180 characters) |
Location | Select from your Shopify store locations or enter coordinates |
Pass Holders | All pass holders or filter by tier |
Min Balance | Only notify if customer has minimum store credit (optional) |
Note: Maximum 10 active locations allowed. Proximity detection is handled automatically by Apple/Google Wallet.
Notification Settings
Go to Settings tab to configure automatic update notifications:
Balance update message | Message when balance changes. Use #{{balance}} variable. |
Membership update message | Message when status changes. Use #{{status}} variable. |
Notification Timing | Send anytime or only during specific hours |
Example: "Your store credit is now #{{balance}}!"
Analytics
Go to Subscribfy → Analytics → Wallet Pass tab to see how your wallet pass is performing.

Basic Loyalty Card
The goal: Give customers a digital loyalty card
Upload your logo and set colors
Configure balance display
Enable wallet pass

Customers can add your loyalty card to their phone wallet.
Store Visit Notifications
The goal: Notify customers when they're near your store
Go to Push Notifications tab
Add your store location
Set message: "You're nearby! Come in for 10% off"
Activate
Customers get notified when they're near your store location.
Balance Reminder Campaign
The goal: Remind high-balance customers to shop
Go to Push Notifications tab
Add new notification
Filter: Minimum balance $50
Message: "You have store credit waiting! Shop now."
Schedule and send
Only customers with $50+ balance receive the reminder.
Troubleshooting
Pass not updating?
Ask customer to open their wallet app to trigger a refresh. Verify update notifications are enabled in Settings. The pass updates automatically when balance or membership changes.
Notifications not received?
Verify the customer has notifications enabled on their phone for the wallet app. Check that the campaign is active and scheduled correctly.
Geo notifications not triggering?
Customer must have location services enabled for the wallet app. Verify the location coordinates are correct. Check that the notification is set to active.
