Customer Tag Reward
Introduction
Automatically reward customers based on their Shopify tags. This is useful for rewarding specific customer segments like wholesale buyers, influencers, or loyalty program members.
Enabling Customer Tag Reward
Step 1: Create the Rule
Go to Subscribfy > Loyalty > Rewards Program tab > Create new rule > Customer Tag
Step 2: Configure Basic Settings
Name | Display name (e.g., "VIP Member Bonus") |
Tag | The Shopify customer tag that triggers the reward |
Reward Amount | Points to award when tag is added |
Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings (Optional)
Schedule | Set start and end dates for the rule |
Tier restriction | Limit which tiers can earn this reward |
Step 4: Save
Click Save and make sure the rule status is ON.
How It Works
You add a specific tag to a customer in Shopify
Subscribfy detects the tag change via webhook
Points are automatically credited to the customer
Note: This is a one-time reward per tag. Removing and re-adding the tag won't trigger another reward.
Use Cases
Influencer rewards - Tag influencers and give them bonus points
Wholesale customers - Reward B2B customers with extra points
Contest winners - Award points to contest winners by tagging them
Manual bonuses - Give specific customers a one-time bonus
Klaviyo Integration
If you have Klaviyo connected, Subscribfy sends a Subscribfy Customer Tag Event when a customer earns points from a tag.

Troubleshooting
Points not awarded when tag added?
Check that the tag matches exactly (case-sensitive). Verify the rule is active and the customer hasn't already received this reward.
