Attentive Integration
Send membership events to Attentive to power SMS marketing campaigns based on subscription activity.
What is Attentive?
Attentive is an SMS marketing platform that helps e-commerce brands engage customers through personalized text messages.
With this integration, Subscribfy automatically sends membership events to Attentive, allowing you to:
Welcome new members via SMS
Send payment reminders before charges
Win back paused or cancelled members
Celebrate successful payments
Alert about failed payments
How to Set Up
Step 1: Get Your Attentive API Key
Log in to your Attentive account
Go to Settings → API Keys
Create or copy your Private API Key
Step 2: Connect in Subscribfy
Go to Subscribfy → Integrations
Find Attentive and click the toggle to enable
Enter your Attentive Private Key
Click Save
Events Sent to Attentive
Subscribfy automatically sends these events to Attentive when membership activity occurs:

Event Properties
Each event includes these properties you can use in your Attentive campaigns:

Use Cases
Welcome New Members
The goal: Send a welcome SMS when someone joins
In Attentive, create a new Journey
Set trigger: SubscribfyNewMembership event
Add SMS message: "Welcome to the club! Your membership is now active."
Payment Reminder
The goal: Remind members before their card is charged
In Attentive, create a new Journey
Set trigger: SubscribfyNextBillingDateAlert event
Use property: SubscribfyMembershipNextBillingDate
Add SMS: "Heads up! Your membership renews on ##{{SubscribfyMembershipNextBillingDate}}."
Win Back Cancelled Members
The goal: Re-engage members who cancelled
In Attentive, create a new Journey
Set trigger: SubscribfyMembershipCancelled event
Add delay: 7 days
Add SMS: "We miss you! Rejoin today and get 10% off."
Recover Failed Payments
The goal: Get members to update payment method
In Attentive, create a new Journey
Set trigger: SubscribfyFailedCharge event
Include: SubscribfyMembershipMagicLink
Add SMS: "Your membership payment failed. Update your card here: ##{{SubscribfyMembershipMagicLink}}"
Troubleshooting
Events not appearing in Attentive?
Verify your API key is correct. Check that the integration is enabled (toggle is ON). Confirm your Attentive account has API access enabled.
Only some events are working?
Make sure you have membership features enabled in Subscribfy. Events only fire when membership activity occurs.
Wrong customer data in Attentive?
Events are matched by email address. Ensure customer emails are consistent between Shopify and Attentive.
