Preferred language on PDQ

Updated over 2 weeks ago

With the 3.47 sunday app version, your PDQ can automatically display screens in your customers' native language.

How It Works

Language detection on the terminal is not automatic.

The server can manually select the language using a button located at the top right corner of the Tips screen — and only if the Tips screen is displayed.

Result: The interface is instantly translated. All subsequent screens, including tip options and payment confirmation, will be displayed in the customer’s selected language.

Note: This selection is temporary. Once the server returns to their regular workflow, the interface automatically switches back to the server’s default language to prevent any mismatch or display issues.

Key Benefits

  • Builds Trust & Transparency. Guests can clearly understand the charges and tipping options in their own language, which reduces confusion and potential complaints.

  • Enhances the Guest Experience. It provides a welcoming and seamless process for tourists and international visitors.

  • Requires No Staff Action. The entire process is automatic, replacing previous manual language-switching methods.

  • Improves Tipping Potential. A clear and trustworthy process encourages generosity from customers.

Available Languages

Currently : English (UK & US), French, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, and Korean.
