How to Get Notified of QR Code Payments

Knowing in real time when a table has paid their bill is essential for smooth service and faster table turnover, no more unnecessary trips to check whether guests have already left.

With sunday, servers receive instant notifications directly on their phones.

The Solution: Use the sunday for staff Mobile App

To receive payment notifications, simply use the sunday for staff mobile app.


The Key: Be Logged In to the App

At the start of your shift, log in to the sunday for staff app on your smartphone (available on the App Store and Google Play Store).

Select Your Tables

After logging in, manually select the tables you are currently serving:

  1. Go to the notifications (bell) icon.

  2. Open the table view.

  3. Tap each table you are responsible for to follow it.

Once a table is selected, you’ll be subscribed to its activity.

You will only receive notifications for the tables you personally choose.

That’s it, you’re all set!


Notifications You'll Receive

Once logged in and following your tables, you’ll receive real-time notifications, including:

  • Full Payment
    Get an instant notification when the entire bill has been paid.

  • Partial Payment (Split Bill)
    Be notified when a partial payment is made and a balance remains, helping you track the table’s status.

  • Payment Failed
    Alerts when a payment attempt does not go through.

  • 3DS Payment Failed
    Notifications when additional payment verification fails.

  • Potential Fraud
    Alerts for transactions flagged as suspicious.

  • New Payment Received on Table “…”
    Confirmation when a payment is successfully completed.

  • New Order on Table “…”
    Notification when a guest places a new order.

  • Order Failed on Table “…”
    Alerts if an order cannot be processed.

  • Potential Walkout
    Notification if a table may have left without completing payment.

  • Unsynced Payment
    In rare cases where a payment does not automatically sync with your POS, you’ll receive an alert prompting you to manually record it.
