How to get notified of QR Code payments?

Knowing in real-time when a table has paid its bill is essential for smooth service and optimizing table turnover. No more unnecessary trips to check if a guest has left! With sunday, servers get notifications directly on their phones.

The solution is simple: use the sunday for staff mobile app.

The Key: Be Logged into the App

  1. Log into the sunday for staff app on your smartphone (available on the App Store and Google Play Store) at the start of your shift.

  2. Select your Tables once logged in, you must manually select the tables you are currently serving. Navigate to the main table view and tap on each of your assigned tables to "follow" them.

Once you have selected a table, you are subscribed to its activity. You will only receive notifications for the tables you have personally selected.

The Notifications You'll Receive

Once you are logged in, you will be notified in real-time of the following payment events (for your tables only):

  • Full Payment You'll receive an instant push notification when the entire bill has been paid.

  • Partial Payment (Split Bill) The app informs you that a first payment has been made, but that there is still a remaining balance to be paid. This allows you to effortlessly track the table's status.

  • 3DS payment failed

  • Failed payment

  • Potential Fraud

  • New tips

  • New payment received on table "..."

  • New order on table "..."

  • Order fail on table "..."

  • Potential walkout

  • Unsynced Payment In the rare case that a sunday payment does not automatically register on your POS, you will receive an alert.

    It prompts you to manually record the payment in your POS software.
