How do I check if a payment is complete?

You have three different options for viewing payments made with sunday.

1. From your POS

When a customer pays via a QR code, the transaction is sent to your POS in real-time. You can see the payment appear and the table's check close automatically on your POS screen, providing instant confirmation without needing to check another device.

2. From the Sunday for Staff App

With the Sunday for Staff app, you can receive notifications directly on your phone when a table is fully paid.

Make sure to turn on notifications to get alerted once a table is paid, a payment failed and so on.

3. From your sunday dashboard

If you want to check if a specific payment was successful, follow these 3 steps:

  1. In the dashboard, go to the Operations > Payments tab.

  2. Using the filters, enter the date and table number.

  1. Scroll to the exact time the payment was made. You will be able to view:

    • Table number

    • Date and time of the payment

    • Payment method used

    • Tip amount

    • Amount paid on the bill

    • Total amount sent to the POS (tip + subtotal)

    • Payment status (if successful: “Successful”)

    • POS notification status (if successful: “Notified”)

    • Actions (refund via card, download receipt, send receipt by email)
