Before you start
Only a Tips Manager or an Admin can configure tip distribution rules.
From the dashboard, go to Tips → Tips policies to review the distribution settings for your venue.
Make sure your staff members are registered and have completed the required setup to receive their tips.
Distribution options
1. 100% direct tips
In this setup, tips are assigned directly to the server associated with the payment.
No common tip pool is created, and the Tips Manager or Admin does not need to distribute the tips manually.
This option is suitable for venues where each server keeps the tips generated from their own tables or payments.
2. 100% tip pool
In this setup, all collected tips are grouped into a common pool and distributed among eligible staff members according to the distribution rules configured by the Tips Manager or Admin.
How it works:
Servers collect tips throughout the week.
The Tips Manager or Admin reviews the available tip pool.
The tips are allocated among eligible staff members according to the venue’s distribution rules.
Distribution methods:
Based on the number of hours worked by each staff member.
Based on a fixed amount assigned to each employee.
To manage the tip pool, go to Tips → Distribution.
Once the distribution is completed, each eligible staff member receives their allocated tips through the configured payout process.

3. Hybrid distribution
In this setup, tips are split between direct allocation and a common tip pool.
How it works:
The Tips Manager or Admin configures the percentage assigned directly to servers.
The direct portion is assigned to the servers associated with the payments.
The remaining portion is added to the common tip pool.
The pooled amount is distributed among eligible staff members according to the venue’s distribution rules.
To review or configure the distribution rules, go to Tips → Tips policies.
To distribute the pooled amount, go to Tips → Distribution.
Managing the tip pool
To manage pooled tips, go to Tips → Distribution.
The Tips Manager or Admin can review the available tip pool and distribute it according to the distribution rules configured for the venue.
Depending on the selected rules, tips can be distributed based on hours worked or fixed amounts.
Review the allocation before confirming the distribution.
Viewing tip amounts
To view the total tips collected and the amount associated with each server, go to Tips → Breakdown.
Select the relevant period and shift, if applicable.
The page shows the total gross tips, total net tips, direct tips, pooled tips, and the amount allocated to each server.

Available tip distribution options may vary depending on your venue’s configuration and market.
Payout timing may vary depending on the selected distribution method.
