First mandatory step:
Registering Staff Members: Add each staff member using their phone number through the dashboard, allowing them to connect to the Sunday for Staff app. This ensures that every employee is properly listed and ready to receive their share of tips.
Tip Distribution Methods
Depending on your restaurant's setup, there are three scenarios for tip distribution:
1. Using sunday for tip management with a Tipjar
When tips are managed via a Tipjar, all collected amounts from the week are grouped and distributed among staff members according to the distribution rules set by the manager or director.
Distribution Time: Available every Monday at 6 PM for the manager or director.
Payout: Tips are then transferred to employees’ baking accounts the following Monday.
2. Using sunday for tip management without a Tipjar
In this setup, the process is entirely automated:
Collection: Head waiters collect their tips throughout the week.
Payout: The total amount is directly transferred to their banking accounts the following Monday, with no manual input required from the manager.
This method ensures a fast and efficient payout process.
3. Not Using Sunday for Tip Management
If your restaurant does not use Sunday for tip management, tips are distributed using more traditional methods:
In Cash: Tips are handed out at the end of your shift.
On your payslip: Tips are included in your salary and paid out alongside your wages.
