What authorizations can be assigned to a user on Supertripper?

Understanding and knowing the rights that can be given to a user on the platform.

Updated over 6 months ago

As an administrator, you have the possibility to assign (or remove) authorizations to all users linked to your company's Supertripper account.

Here are the details of the different authorizations that can be granted (or removed) on the platform:

Booking

  • Can book for himself/herself (within the travel policy): When this authorization is enabled, the user can make a booking for himself in accordance with the travel policy assigned to him, without requiring approval. When this authorization is disabled, he can still add travel services to the cart, but their bookings will require mandatory validation from a manager or administrator.

  • Can book for others (travelers): When this authorization is enabled, the user can make a booking for other users in accordance with the travel policy assigned to him. When this is disabled, he can still add travel services to the cart for another traveler, but the bookings will require mandatory approval from a manager or administrator.

☝️ Note: only the roles "manager" and "administrator" can book for other users.

  • Can see off-policy offers: When this authorization is enabled, the user can see travel services in the search results that do not meet the booking criteria defined by the travel policy assigned to him. When it is disabled, he only sees travel services in the search results that comply with the travel policy assigned to him.

  • Can book out of travel policy: When this authorization is enabled, the user can directly make any type of booking on the platform. When it is disabled, he can still add off-policy travel services to the cart, but these will require mandatory approval from a manager or administrator.

☝️ Note: for a user to book an off-policy service or send it for validation, the following authorizations must be enabled:
    - "Can book for himself/herself" or "Can book for others"
    - "Can see off-policy offers"

Approval workflow

🧐 Good to know: this section can only be configured for users with the role of "manager" or "administrator" on the platform.

  • Can validate in-policy bookings: When this authorization is enabled, the user can approve (or refuse) booking approval requests that comply with the travel policy assigned to the travelers under their responsibility.

  • Can validate off-policy bookings: When this authorization is enabled, the user can approve (or refuse) any type of booking, including those that do not meet the booking criteria defined by the travel policy assigned to the travelers under their responsibility.

☝️ Note: for a user to approve (or refuse) a off-policy booking, the "Can validate in-policy bookings" authorization must first be enabled.

Account management

🧐 Good to know: this section can only be configured for users with the role of "traveler", "manager", or "administrator" on the platform.

➡️ For the roles "manager" and "administrator"

  • Can add a collaborator: When this authorization is enabled, the user can create an account for a collaborator from their company on the platform.

  • Can change the entity billing for each booking: When this authorization is enabled, the user can change the billing entity for each booking.

☝️ Note: this feature becomes available as soon as multiple billing entities are configured on the platform.

  • Can validate requests for carbon offset: When this authorization is enabled, the user can approve (or refuse) carbon neutrality contribution requests from the travelers under their responsibility, from the "CSR" tab.

➡️ For the role "traveler"

  • The user will not be able to connect to his account: When this feature is enabled, the user will not have access to his Supertripper account on the platform. Generally, this means his bookings will be made by another user on the platform who has the right to book for him, like a travel manager. For example: a collaborator with a responsible position or a busy schedule may delegate the organization of his trips to a travel manager.
