How does delivery with swftbox work?

Complete guide to the swftbox delivery process from placing orders to final delivery.

This article walks you through the full journey a package takes with swftbox, from placing an order to final delivery.

Step 1: Order Placement

swftbox provides three methods to place orders in Control Room:

  • Direct Integration - Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Carriyo, or iCarry.

  • Bulk Upload - Upload a CSV file with order details.

  • Manual Entry - Enter order details directly in Control Room.

Step 2: Package Preparation

  • Print shipping labels from Control Room and affix on a flat, visible side.

  • Seal packages on all sides with industrial-grade tape.

  • Standard maximum weight: 7 kg. Oversized packages incur additional fees.

  • swftbox provides free polybags for standard items.

Step 3: Delivery Types and Timelines

  • Same-Day - Orders before 10 a.m., delivered by 10 p.m. same day.

  • Next-Day - Orders before 10 a.m., delivered by 10 p.m. next day.

  • Bullet (Dubai only) - Within 4 hours, max 7 kg.

  • Remote Areas - 2 to 4 days.

  • International GCC - 1 to 3 days. Worldwide - 3 to 5 days. Prepaid only.

Step 4: Dispatch and Delivery

  • Up to 3 delivery attempts per order; after 3 unsuccessful attempts, the order is marked Return to Origin (RTO).

  • Proof of Delivery: Photo of the package at the recipient’s door is attached to the order in the Control Room.- When an order is marked as RTO, the status "RTO picked up" indicates that the driver has collected the return package and is en route to deliver it back to the origin or facility. This confirms that the return process is actively underway.

  • Orders flagged for three days without successful delivery attempts are automatically marked as RTO.

Delivery Add-Ons

  • Chilled Delivery - Temperature-controlled vehicles for sensitive items.

  • Proof of ID - Emirates ID verification at delivery.

  • OTP - One-time password sent via WhatsApp for high-value deliveries.

  • Oversized Handling - For packages exceeding 7 kg.

Specialized Services

  • Return Pickup - Collected and returned to you within 2 days.

  • Exchange Orders -Replacement and return handled in one trip – AED 25 delivery fee

  • B2B Delivery - With signed proof of receipt. Max 2 packages, 10 kg each.

Delivery Issues (Flagged Process)

swftbox flags and notifies you about delivery issues in Control Room:

  • Incorrect Address - Update the address for reattempt.

  • Incorrect Phone - Update the phone number.

  • Customer Refusal - Choose to reattempt or RTO.

  • Payment Type - Correct the payment type in Control Room.

  • Missing Documents - Upload required documents.

Can an RTO Order Be Reshipped?

No, an order marked as RTO cannot be reshipped. If you wish to proceed with the delivery, you will need to place a new order with the correct contact details or updated information.

Guidelines for Handling RTO Cases

To effectively manage orders marked as RTO, follow these steps:

  1. Verify the Reason for RTO: Check whether the order was marked as RTO due to recipient cancellation or failed delivery attempts.

  2. Update Information: If the RTO was caused by incorrect contact details or address, ensure the updated information is ready for placing a new order.

  3. Place a New Order: Create a new order with the corrected details to ensure successful delivery. By understanding the RTO process and following these guidelines, you can efficiently manage returns and minimize disruptions to your delivery operations.- RTO Reasons - Orders may be marked as RTO due to recipient cancellation or failed delivery attempts.

You do not need to wait for the RTO item to physically return before placing a new order. The RTO item will be returned to the origin independently, allowing you to proceed with a replacement order immediately. Treat the replacement as a separate transaction to ensure timely delivery of your items.

Recipient Notifications

  • WhatsApp - Tracking, ETA, address verification, and payment updates.

  • SMS - Sent if WhatsApp is unavailable.

  • Payment - Cash or secure payment link.
