Funnel Settings

Written by Swift

Introduction

Every funnel you create in Swiftwebsites.ai comes with its own settings panel. From here, you can customize how your funnel looks in browsers, connect a custom domain, and add custom code. These options help you brand your funnel, track performance, and optimize functionality.

Basic Funnel Settings

  • Funnel Name: Rename your funnel anytime for clarity and organization.

  • Favicon: Upload a small icon that appears in the browser tab.

  • Social Sharing Image: Set the image shown when your funnel link is shared on social media.

Homepage Settings

  • You can set a funnel to act as your website homepage.

  • When enabled, the funnel’s first step (usually the landing page) becomes the homepage for the entire site.

  • This is useful for running A/B tests on different homepage designs.

Domain Settings

  • Change the default funnel URL.

  • Connect a custom domain (depending on your plan):

    • Enter your domain (e.g., yourdomain.com).

    • Add the required A Record and CNAME Record in your domain provider’s DNS settings.

    • Wait for propagation (up to 48 hours, usually much faster).

  • Once connected, visiting the domain will open your funnel.

Custom Code Options

  • Custom Head Markup: Add scripts that need to load in the <head> (e.g., tracking pixels, analytics).

  • Custom CSS: Insert CSS to style your funnel beyond the builder’s options.

  • Custom Body Markup: Add scripts or code blocks inside the <body> (e.g., chat widgets, custom HTML).

Best Practices

  • Always upload a favicon and social image to improve brand consistency.

  • Use a funnel as your homepage if you want to run conversion-focused campaigns without distractions.

  • Double-check DNS settings when connecting domains, small typos can prevent the domain from working.

  • Use custom code sparingly. Only add scripts you trust and that are necessary.

  • Test your funnel after making changes to ensure tracking scripts or custom CSS work correctly.

Quick Workflow Recap

  • Open Funnel Settings

  • Edit name, favicon, and social sharing image

  • (Optional) Set the funnel as homepage

  • Connect a custom domain if needed

  • Add custom head/body markup or CSS

  • Save and preview changes
