How to Scan a Business Card or Event Badge

SalesAI lets you quickly acquire new contacts directly from your smartphone, by digitizing paper business cards and event or trade show badges.

Once the scan is complete, TAC automatically creates a new contact with the key information, ready to be enriched, qualified, and synced with the CRM.


When to Use This Feature

You can use the scanning feature whenever you meet a new potential customer and want to save their details quickly without entering them manually.

This feature is especially useful during:

  • Trade shows and conferences

Scanning a Business Card

How to do it:

  1. Open the TAC: Digital Business Card app.

  2. Tap the round button at the center of the bottom menu.

  3. Select Scan Paper Card.

  4. Frame the business card.

  5. Wait for automatic data recognition.

  6. Review the extracted information.

  7. Tap Save.

What happens next: The OCR system automatically analyzes the card and creates a new contact with the available data.


Scanning an Event Badge

How to do it:

  1. Open the TAC: Digital Business Card app.

  2. Tap the round button at the center of the bottom menu.

  3. Select Scan Badge.

  4. Frame the event badge.

  5. Wait for automatic recognition.

  6. Review the extracted data.

  7. Tap Save.

What happens next: TAC automatically creates a new contact with the available data.


Tips for Better Results

To improve scanning accuracy:

  • Place the card or badge on a flat surface

  • Make sure the environment is well lit

  • Avoid reflections or shadows

  • Always review the data before saving


Manual Data Editing

If some information is recognized incorrectly, you can edit it manually before saving the contact.
