How to Delete Messages (Teachers and Admins)

Teachers and admins can delete unwanted message threads from their message history. Identify how to successfully remove conversations in the steps below.

Please note:

1. Although messages are erased from your view, they are not deleted from the TalkingPoints platform. This is because admins need the original message history for their records.

2. For teachers, message threads can only be deleted via the Teacher mobile app.

3. For admins, message threads can only be deleted via the web.

4. District admins can only download message history.


Teacher Mode

  1. On the app, click "See all."

  2. Swipe the selected message thread from right to left and select "Delete."


School Admin Mode

  1. From the Messages tab, click on “Admin inbox.”

  2. Hover over the selected message thread with your mouse and click “Delete.”


    3. Confirm deletion.
