The US education system has many terms and acronyms that families who are not directly involved in a career in education are not likely to know.
That's why we've added the TalkingPoints Ed 101 feature to the TalkingPoints for Families app. This feature identifies US educational terms for families that appear throughout messages.
Here's how it works:
If the app recognizes a term specific to the US educational system in a message, the word is highlighted. The family member can click on the highlighted term and it shows a simplified definition. Defining these terms increases the accessibility and understanding of shared information between teachers and families.
