Assign and Dispatch Jobs

manage bookings, dispatch drivers, and track rides (with video tutorial)

Updated over a month ago

The Jobs section displays all bookings owned by your group and provides tools to assign drivers, track ride statuses, and export data.

This guide covers the Jobs interface, how to assign drivers to bookings (direct or automated dispatch), and how to search and export completed trips.

Jobs list (planned jobs)

In the Jobs tab, you can view all planned jobs where your group is the owner.
The list typically includes:

  • Driver: The driver assigned to the job (if any).

  • Reference: The job’s reference ID.

  • Requested pickup time: Pickup time requested by the job creator.

  • Pickup: Pickup location requested by the job creator.

  • Status: Current job status.

  • Fare amount: Total fare amount.

  • Payment method / payment status: How the ride is paid and/or payment status.

  • Commission amount: The commission earned by the group for the job.

Click any job row to open the job details screen with all available information for that ride.

Job details: assign or dispatch

When you open an Unassigned or To do job, the job details page includes a Driver section where you can either assign a driver directly or start automated dispatch.

Assign to driver

Use this option to assign a driver immediately.
You can search for an existing driver in your group, or enter details for a driver not yet in your group and enable Add this driver to this group to invite them automatically.

If the driver is not yet using TaxiWebBooker, they receive an email invitation with instructions to download TaxiWebBooker and confirm the job assignment.

Automated dispatch

Two common options are available:

Search and export (Excel)

At the top of the jobs overview, use Filter & Export your jobs to Excel to search and export jobs.
Filters typically include date ranges and origins, and Export jobs downloads an Excel file for administration.
This export is done from the TaxiWebBooker Web Portal (not the driver app)
