Viewing student grades and gradebook results

How to find lesson grades and gradebook grades — they live in two different reports, and each has different filters.

Written by Abdullah Al-Hussein

Grade data in Teach 'n Go is split across two reports in two different places. This article covers both so you know where to look depending on what you need.

Your school may use different names for students, teachers and classes. If you don't see the menu items below, ask your admin to check your permissions.

Lesson grades — per-lesson marks

Go to Reports → Lesson reports → Lesson grades.

This report shows the grade recorded against each individual lesson. Use the Filters panel to narrow by student and date range. Available columns include: class, subject, level, teacher, student, lesson date, lesson time, and grade.

Export to Excel using the Export button. The export respects your active filters and selected columns.

Gradebook grades — assessed work within a class

Go to Reports → Class reports → Gradebook grades.

This report shows grades entered against gradebook assessments — things like assignments, tests and projects that you have set up within a class. Available columns include: class, class start and end dates, gradebook name, student, grade date, grade name, grade weight, grade value, grade, and notes.

Use the Filters panel to narrow by class or student.

There is no date filter on this report. The interface does not render a date range option for gradebook grades — filter by class or student instead, then sort or filter the exported Excel file by date if needed.

Report cards (PDFs)

If you need to produce a formatted grade report for a student, report cards are a separate feature. They are generated from inside a class — not from the Reports section — and produce a PDF. Report cards are the only PDF output in the product; all other reports export as Excel.
