Working out how many hours a teacher has taught

How to find lesson duration and teacher hours using the Lesson details report and the Payments dashboard — there is no dedicated teacher hours report.

Written by Abdullah Al-Hussein

There is no dedicated "teacher hours" report in Teach 'n Go, but you can get the same information from two places depending on what you need.

Your school may use different names for teachers, lessons and classes. If you don't see the menu items below, ask your admin to check your permissions.

Option 1 — Lesson details report (most flexible)

Go to Reports → Lesson reports → Lesson details.

Set a date range using the Filters panel — this is the only filter on this report. Then use the Columns picker to include the columns you need. Relevant columns include:

  • Duration — lesson length in minutes

  • Teacher

  • Teacher fee

  • Student hourly fees

  • Classroom

  • Postponed — whether the lesson was postponed

  • Lesson number

  • Students present and students excused

Export to Excel, then sum the Duration column in your spreadsheet to get total minutes (divide by 60 for hours). Filter by teacher name first if you want a per-teacher total.

Option 2 — Payments dashboard teacher fees table

Go to Payments → Dashboard. Set the date range at the top of the page.

Scroll to the teacher fees table. It shows each teacher's revenue for the selected period, calculated as lesson duration in hours multiplied by their hourly fee. This gives you a hours-based figure without any exporting, but it is revenue-focused rather than a raw hours count, and it has no export of its own.

Use option 1 if you need raw hours or want to filter by specific classes. Use option 2 for a quick per-teacher revenue and hours overview on screen.
