The Reports section gives you data across attendance, lessons, classes, students, teachers, payments and activity logs. This article covers the controls that appear on nearly every report. Individual report walkthroughs link back here rather than repeating the basics.
Your school may use different names for students, teachers, classes and lessons. Wherever this article says "student" or "teacher", you may see the term your school has chosen instead.
Getting there
Select Reports from the left-hand sidebar. The page opens with a report-group accordion on the left and the selected report on the right. The groups are: Attendance reports, Lesson reports, Class reports, Student reports, Teacher and staff reports, Payment reports, and Log reports.
If you don't see Reports in the sidebar, ask your admin to check your permissions.
Controls that appear on most reports
These work the same way across the product, so they are described once here.
Search — a free-text box at the top of the report that filters rows as you type.
Filters — a button that opens a panel of dropdowns specific to each report (date range, student, teacher, class, status, and so on). Applied filters appear as chips below the button; click the × on any chip, or Reset, to clear them. Exports always respect whatever filters are active.
Columns — a picker that lets you show or hide columns, including the school's own custom fields and, on some reports, ID number and date of birth. Your column choices and widths are saved to your account, so they persist the next time you open the same report.
Rows per page — a selector at the bottom of the table.
Exporting
Every report that can be exported produces an Excel file (.xlsx). There is no CSV option and no PDF option. The export contains only the columns you currently have selected, and only the rows that match your active filters.
Large exports are delivered by email, not downloaded. Above roughly 2,000 rows on attendance-type reports, the job is queued and you receive an email with a download link. A modal tells you this is happening — if the download doesn't appear immediately, check your inbox before assuming something went wrong.
What you can see depends on your role
Admins see all data across the whole school.
Teachers without full access see only their own lessons and attendance.
Staff without full access see only the courses they are assigned to.
Payment reports are hidden unless you have permission to access Payments.
Log reports are admin-only.
If a report group or report is missing from your sidebar, ask your admin to check your permissions.
