If you run the school and also teach, you can hold both an admin and a teacher role in Teach 'n Go. There are two ways to set this up and they behave differently — the choice matters most for Google Calendar.
Your school may use different names for teachers, students and classes. If you don't see a menu item described below, ask your admin to check your permissions.
Two roles on one login
An email address identifies one login. If you invite your own email address as a teacher, Teach 'n Go adds the teacher role to the login you already have instead of creating a second account.
Open your own teacher profile, or create one if you don't have one yet.
Turn on the Access to [school] portal toggle.
Click Invite to portal.
The invitation goes to an address that already has an account, so it asks you to log in rather than register. Log in with your existing password.
Your login now carries both roles in this school.
Switching between your roles
Click your Profile (top right corner), then open the Switch branch menu. Each role you hold appears as its own row, and switching does not require logging out.
Every row shows the school name, not the role name. The role is indicated only by the icon at the start of the row, so two roles in one school appear as two rows with the same label.
Two separate logins
A genuinely separate second account needs a different email address, because an address can only belong to one login. Invite that second address from your teacher profile in the same way.
Separate logins cannot be switched inside the app. The Switch branch menu only lists the roles attached to the login you are signed in with, so you log out and log back in to move between two separate accounts.
Which setup to choose for Google Calendar
Google Calendar is connected per login, per school — one login has one calendar connection for a school, and what it pushes depends on the role that login is using:
Admin — every lesson and event in the school
Teacher — only the lessons you are assigned to teach
To see only the classes you teach in Google Calendar, use a separate teacher login with its own email address and connect Google Calendar from that login. A single login holding both roles has one connection for the school, so it cannot be narrowed to your own lessons.
For the connection steps, see How to sync Teach 'n Go with Google Calendar.
Handing the school over to someone else
There is no ownership transfer. Every admin has full access to the school — school details, users, permissions, classes, payments and reports — so making someone an admin is how you hand over control.
Go to School settings → Admins.
Click Invite admin.
Enter their name and email address, then click Invite.
They accept the invitation from the email and set up their login.
Why the Admins list shows one fewer admin than you expect
You are never listed in your own Admins list. The table leaves out the row for the login you are signed in with, while the admin seats meter above it counts everyone — so a school with two admins shows one row to each of them.
It also means you cannot remove your own admin access from that page. If you want to stop working as an admin, invite another admin and use your teacher role instead.
For what each role can access, see Teach 'n Go user roles and What teachers can see and do in Teach 'n Go.
