Teach 'n Go tracks student behaviour using custom behaviour types, shown as gold stars (positive) or red flags (negative). You create and manage these types from School settings.
Your school may use different names for classes. If you don't see the menu items below, ask your admin to check your permissions.
Accessing behaviour settings
The Behaviours tab is not on the main School settings menu — it's nested inside the classes section.
Go to School settings from the left-hand menu.
Expand the Classes section (this may be relabelled, e.g. Courses or Groups, to match your school's terminology).
Open the Behaviours tab inside that section.
You'll see a list of all existing behaviours created for your school.
Adding a new behaviour
In the Behaviours tab, click Add behaviour.
Enter a name for the behaviour.
Choose the behaviour type:
Gold star — positive behaviour
Red flag — negative behaviour
Click Save.
Editing an existing behaviour
In the Behaviours tab, find the behaviour you want to update.
Make the necessary changes, such as updating the name or behaviour type.
Click Save to apply your changes. Updates won't apply until they are saved.
Troubleshooting
Can't find the Behaviours tab? — it's nested inside the Classes (or your school's renamed equivalent) accordion section on the School settings page, not a top-level tab.
Behaviour not appearing? — make sure you clicked Save after adding or editing it.
Can't edit behaviours? — check that you have administrator permissions.
Wrong behaviour type selected? — edit the behaviour and switch between Gold star or Red flag as needed.
