In Teach ‘n Go, if the lesson doesn’t go ahead as planned, there are several ways to record this. Depending on your needs, you can:

  • Cancel a lesson

  • Postpone a lesson

  • Reschedule a lesson

  • Substitute a teacher for the lesson

Read on to learn more about each one.

Cancel a Lesson

Cancelling the lesson removes the lesson from the system altogether. There will be no record of it. You cancel a lesson from the lesson card by clicking on the cancel lesson button in the edit menu. Then select the cancel lesson option. You can always add a new lesson later to replace it.

Postpone a Lesson

Postponing the lesson allows it to remain in the system. It might be helpful to keep track of the missed lessons. You’ll also find the option to postpone the lesson in the lesson card. Click on cancel the lesson and then select the postpone lesson option.

The lesson will be marked as postponed wherever it appears in Teach 'n Go.

It remains in the calendar but is displayed in a grey colour.

Reschedule a lesson

It's possible to switch the lesson to a more suitable date. You can do this from the lesson card. Click on the Dat/Time button in the Edit menu and select the new time.

Or you can drag and drop the lesson from the calendar to the new time.

Substitute a Teacher

You can also switch the teacher for that particular lesson. You can do this from the lesson card by clicking on the teacher button in the edit menu. Select the new teacher and confirm whether the change is for one or more lessons. There's also the option to adjust the teacher fee.
