Resolving Issues with Parent Access to Multiple Child Profiles on TeachKloud

If a parent is unable to view all their children's profiles on TeachKloud, this is often due to an email mismatch. For example, a parent has been invited to two child profiles, but can only see one. Check both child profiles, ensure that the parent was invited with the same email, so that when they sign in, using their email, all relevant child profiles are visible. Please also check that the invite to app box is selected for all child profiles linked to that parent. Here’s how to resolve this issue:

Steps to Resolve

  1. Confirm the Parent's Preferred Email
Ask the parent to confirm the email address they want to use to access their child profiles.

  2. Check the Email for Each Child's Profile
Go to the profiles of all children associated with that parent. Compare the email addresses used to invite the parent to each profile.

  3. Look for Common Issues

    • Different Emails: Ensure the parent has been invited to all profiles with the same email address. For example, if the parent was invited to one profile with parent@teachkloud.com and another with parent2@teachkloud.com, they will only see the child linked to the email they sign in with.

    • Spelling Errors: Check for minor mistakes in the email addresses, such as parent@teachkloud.com being accidentally entered as paren@teachkloud.com or paretn@teachkloud.com.

  4. Correct the Email(s)

    • If there’s a mismatch, update the email address in the child profile(s) to match the parent’s preferred email.

    • Ensure that all profiles the parent needs access to use the exact same email address.

  5. Re-invite the Parent
After correcting the emails, resend the invitations to the parent. Ensure the invite to parent box is selected.

  6. Verify Access
Ask the parent to log in using the corrected email address and confirm they can see all their children's profiles.

Important Notes

  • A parent will only see the profiles linked to the email they sign in with. Therefore, it’s essential that a parent is invited to their children's profile using the same email.

  • Double-check for spelling errors or inconsistencies when inviting parents to avoid this issue in the future.

  • Ensure the invite to app box is selected for all child profiles.

By following these steps, you can ensure parents have access to all their children’s profiles on TeachKloud. If further assistance is needed, please contact support at hello@teachkloud.com.
