What type of contract do I have?

For each shift you will have a separate phase A (1+2) contract with ‘uitzendbeding’

Written by Temper | Work to Live

When working through Temper Staff, you are employed by Temper as a temporary worker (‘uitzendkracht’ in Dutch).

Phase A contract with 'uitzendbeding'

For each shift you will be accepted, you will have a separate labour agreement. These agreements are classified as phase A (1+2) contracts with an ‘uitzendbeding’ (temporary employment clause). Your contract will initially be valid for 4 weeks, but the ‘uitzendbeding’ ensures that the contract with clients automatically ends after each shift. This means you will have multiple contracts throughout the year, each one linked to a specific shift. You will therefore only be paid for the hours you work. If there is no work, you will not be paid.

When your contract is created

The labour agreements are set up within 48 hours before your shift starts, depending on when you were accepted by the hiring company. If you are accepted earlier than 48 hours before the shift, the contract will be generated exactly 48 hours in advance. If you are accepted less than 48 hours before the shift, the contract will be generated at the moment you are accepted.

Employment terms and regulations

The terms of employment are based on the relevant collective labour agreement (CAO) for that specific job and on the framework agreement (’raamovereenkomst’) you signed when you applied for your first shift. This means it’s in line with Dutch rules and regulations, around minimum wage for instance.
