At Temper Staff, we’ve introduced a strike system to ensure accountability and clear communication between workers and companies. While we don’t want to sanction anyone harshly, we want to maintain a professional environment that works for everyone—employees and companies alike. By using this system, we aim to keep the platform running smoothly and successfully for all parties involved.
What results in a strike?
Strikes can be awarded for the following offenses:
Late cancellation
No-show
Significant complaint from companies
For each offense you can get up to two strikes.
Block after 4 strikes
Once you reach 4 strikes, your upcoming shifts will be cancelled, and you won’t be able to use the platform for 30 days. After 30 days, the block is lifted, and you can apply for shifts again. But you’ll still have 2 strikes left.
Can strikes be removed?
After completing three shifts successfully, one strike is removed. So after 6 completed shifts you can be back to 0 strikes after a 30-day block.
Reaching 4 strikes for a second time
Just make sure you don’t reach 4 strikes again. If you reach 4 strikes for a second time within 90 days or 50 shifts, you can be permanently blocked from Temper Staff.
Strikes and a Phase B contract
If you are working under a Phase B contract, you won’t be blocked after a fourth strike. But it will influence Tempers’ decisions regarding a potential contract extension.
Serious offenses we will never accept
There are also offenses that will result in immediate and serious consequences, including a permanent ban from the platform. These include theft, fraud, sexual harassment or other inappropriate behaviour.
These actions are completely unacceptable and go against the values of the Temper platform.
Let’s work together to keep everything running smoothly and make Temper Staff a success for everyone!
