How frustrating to have a disagreement with the hiring company. We understand these situations can be stressful, but with open dialogue, most issues can be resolved quickly and smoothly. Whether it’s about the number of hours worked, the work that was done or something else, here’s a simple guide to help you navigate the situation.
1. Communicate with the hiring company
The best way to resolve any issue is to communicate directly and immediately with the hiring company. Did you work more hours than registered? Is there a difference in the checkout? Give them a call as soon as possible to discuss the situation. Mistakes happen, and many times, these can be easily fixed with a quick conversation.
2. Understand and explain
If something went wrong with the checkout process, it might be an error on the hiring company's side. Don't worry—mistakes can be corrected. Clearly explain your side of the situation and listen to theirs. Often, a simple misunderstanding can be resolved by giving a bit more information. If you solve the disagreement and there needs to be a correction to the checkout or payslip, the hiring company must inform us so we can make the necessary adjustments.
3. Contact us if needed
If you and the hiring company can't resolve the issue together, we’re here to help. However, keep in mind that we weren't present at the workplace, so we may not have all the details. If you have a claim that the hiring company denies, be prepared to provide proof of your claim.
4. We’ll do our best
We will try our best to help resolve the disagreement, but we can't make promises. We aim to be fair and neutral, so we can’t always take sides. Still, we are here to support you. If you feel stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
