To apply for shifts on Temper Staff, you need to verify your identity and prove you’re eligible to work in the Netherlands. Since Temper will be your official employer during your shifts, we need to verify your identity, check your work eligibility, and record both your ID and your BSN (citizen service number). This article guides you through the ID check process in 3 easy steps.
Who can apply?
In order to work shifts through Temper Staff, you must have Dutch or European Economic Area (EEA) nationality. If you hold a Dutch residence permit with the annotations 'Arbeid vrij toegestaan' and 'TWV (Tewerkstellingsvergunning) niet vereist' you're also welcome to work through the platform.

Step 1: Upload your ID
First choose the type of document you’re uploading: passport, national ID card, or residence permit. Any other document is not accepted.
Select the country that issued your ID.
Now hold your real document in front of the camera and make sure it fits within the frame. Some tips:
Make sure you’re using the original document, not a copy.
Capture the entire document—don’t cover anything!
Use good lighting (preferably daylight) and avoid glare.
Upload all relevant sides.
Step 2: Take a selfie
Now take a selfie. Look straight into the camera and center your face in the oval frame. Make sure there is enough light so your face is clearly visible. Do avoid glare. Note that your selfie should closely match the photo on your ID.
Step 3: Share your BSN (if needed)
If we couldn't record your BSN in the first ID step, you'll need to complete some additional steps.
Share your BSN directly in the app.
Upload a document or take a picture of a document that is in your name and lists your BSN.
Accepted documents: health insurance card, official letters from the Tax Authorities or local municipality (gemeente). It must be a physical document, a scan or a screenshot is not allowed.
